If you’re in a rush and need to get some good material on your website or blog, PLR website content could be the answer.  Because who gets there first is the key to success in any business, getting good content up on your site as soon as possible makes sense. But, not just any content, and certainly not just any PLR.

Quality is Key

Shopping around for the best value will pay dividends. Scrutinize the quality of the PLR before purchasing it, regardless of whether it costs $1 or $5 per article. If the quality is poor, it will be a waste in any case.

Your website is a valuable asset and you don’t want to come across as “cheap and nasty” so beware of PLR that might potentially damage your reputation. The trick is to inquire where other people source their PLR. Internet marketing forums such as the Warrior Forum are teeming with people who will tell you what’s worthwhile and what isn’t. You’re also not limited to purchasing from a single PLR source.

Mix Up Your PLR Types

While you’re considering adding content to your website, keep in mind that PLR comes in forms other than articles and eBooks. There are some great audio and video PLR packs available.  Use them to create genuine value for your site.

Also, software with private label rights deserves a quick mention here. While most software has some customer service difficulties (such as simplicity of use for the end-user, unforeseen glitches, and so on), you can truly add value to your site if you can discover software that helps make the customer experience more enjoyable. A calorie calculator on a weight reduction website, for example, or an interest calculator on a financial website.

Change It Up

When using PLR for your site, you should change the wording somewhat. It may be outmoded and in need of updating.  Even new content needs to be tweaked so it is unique to your site. You might want to customize it by adding a paragraph or changing words or phrases. Give it your voice.

Take the time to tailor PLR because it has been provided to hundreds, if not thousands, of others. If used as-is will not drive traffic to your site.

Make sure you listen to audio and watch video PLR. Provide an introduction and a call to action at the beginning and end of the audio. Edit the videos to include an intro and text frames as well as a call to action slide at the end. Add a watermark with your domain name to brand your content.
