Is Free PLR Truly Free?
At first glance, free always appears to be enticing. Who hasn’t taken a free snack sample at the grocery store or Sam’s Club when they’re available? However, there are times when free is beneficial and times when free is more trouble than it’s worth.
First and foremost, you may wonder why it is free. Some websites offer free PLR in exchange for your email address, similar to the grocery store instance above. These marketers want you to observe the quality of their work, so they provide you with a sample to test. That’s understandable, but you can expect them to ask for your name and email address on an opt-in form so they can continue to sell you on their primary niche. That is simply smart business but it can be considered a “cost” none- the- less.
Be skeptical of anything that is “free,” including articles, eBooks, papers, audio, or even basic software. Even if it’s only giving your name and email address, there’s a cost somewhere. Most of the time, even if you don’t pay money for it, you’ll wind up wasting your valuable time rewriting a dull or poorly written article or eBook (and we all know your time isn’t free). Even so, if you have more time than money an okay free article bundle can be easily edited for use.

You can also find some interesting ideas from the articles and turn them into something unique. In that respect, it won’t harm to look at some of it, if only to see whether you can remake an article pack into an eBook or vice versa – turn an eBook into multiple articles. You only spent your time. Just don’t get bogged down in it. You can wind up spending more time editing than you would have spent writing it from scratch! And, as the old adage goes, time is money.
When attempting a rewrite, a good rule of thumb is to limit your time – even going so far as to utilize an egg timer. That way, you won’t be hacking away at something for an hour that would have taken you 30 minutes to write in the first place.
So, where can you get free PLR?
It’s as simple as Googling “your niche + free PLR” or simply “free PLR” and seeing what comes up. You’ll probably have to perform some weeding to determine what’s worth your time investment. But every now and then, you can come across some pretty good product that will do the job perfectly well.
